EDUCATION - BUILT ON PARTNERSHIP AND SOCIAL INNOVATION

New Monaco - A 21st Century Education and Innovation Hub

Education is key to the New Monaco vision. The community will feature a state-of-the-art, multi-purpose, partnership-driven, and highly innovative Education Center. The idea is to allow partner institutions to support research, training, student programs, and visiting scholars.

The New Monaco Education Centre will be a world-class teaching, learning, and research facility where individuals from the region, Canada, and worldwide will work collaboratively. The goal is to create a learning environment that will support colleges and universities, governments, and private sector partners.

The facility will serve as a catalyst for innovation in various areas, including, but not limited to, public policy, technology, AI, business, public health, and climate change.

The Education Center, which will operate on an open partnership basis, will, in the first instance, allow for collaboration with local institutions and contribute to social progress and economic prosperity in the region. Beyond the local, the strategy is to engage with partners whose goal is to add value to their employee training programs, specialized course offerings, and targeted research opportunities. At the same time, we are fully committed to providing strong support for and engagement with the indigenous communities that we serve.

Open partnership networks will provide multi-disciplinary learning opportunities, the opportunity to increase capacity, and the opportunity to create and support research clusters. Our engagement with, and commitment to, various international networks will connect us to new opportunities to work with the broader university community and with both emerging and established centers of excellence.

The New Monaco Education Center is also well placed to provide a venue for scholars, researchers, and policy-makers to collaborate on topical and pressing public policy issues. Specifically, the goal is to generate evidence-based policy guidance that might address some of the world’s most pressing social, economic, and environmental challenges.

We are also working with regional institutions of higher learning and critical organizations from the private, public, and not-for-profit sectors with a strong commitment to supporting local businesses and indigenous communities.
